Scroll-engraved cylinder with two gold bands at rear; flutes framed by gold banding.

Scroll-engraved frame with gold markings, the front signed in gold L Francolini/97; the whole framed by narrow gold bands incorporating scrolling leaf forms. Hammer, triggerguard and gripstrap engraved and gold inlaid en suite, the triggerguard reshaped. Faux ivory grips.
